Permits and Engineering in Surrey
City of Surrey Requirements
The City of Surrey requires a building permit for decks higher than 600mm above grade. Minor guard replacements may be exempt, but structural changes (e.g., adding a heavy glass system to an older deck) generally trigger structural review.
