LOUEI Metal Arts is a custom metal fabrication studio based in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The company brings extensive structural steel and fabrication experience to the residential and architectural metalwork trade in Metro Vancouver.

What began as a small welding operation has grown into a full-service design-fabrication-installation studio serving homeowners, architects, general contractors, and property managers across British Columbia. From a single cable-railing deck project, the company expanded into glass railings, picket railings, handrails, architectural metalwork, PDLC smart-film installation, and commissioned metal sculpture.

Today the team handles every stage in-house — design consultation, engineering drawings, CNC and laser cutting, MIG/TIG welding, powder coating, and on-site installation — so each project is controlled from first sketch to final walk-through. That vertical integration means fewer hand-offs, tighter tolerances, and a single point of accountability for the client.

The studio works with 316 marine-grade stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. Finishes include matte-black and custom-colour powder coating, brushed and mirror-polished stainless, and hot-dip galvanizing for coastal and high-corrosion environments. Every material choice is matched to the project's exposure, aesthetic brief, and BC building-code requirements.

Our team's background in structural engineering and heavy fabrication informs every residential project the studio takes on — load calculations, anchorage details, and material selection are treated with the same rigour applied to commercial construction. LOUEI Metal Arts is headquartered in Coquitlam and serves clients throughout British Columbia. The primary service region covers Metro Vancouver — including Vancouver, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Delta, and the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody).

Installation crews regularly travel to the Sea-to-Sky corridor (Squamish, Whistler, Horseshoe Bay), the Sunshine Coast (Gibsons, Sechelt), and the Fraser Valley (Langley, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford, Chilliwack). For large-scale custom projects the team also services Vancouver Island (Victoria, Nanaimo, Tofino) and the Okanagan (Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton) by arrangement. Remote-site logistics — including ferry scheduling, crane coordination, and multi-day installation planning — are handled by the LOUEI project team so the client has a single point of contact throughout.

LOUEI Metal Arts carries comprehensive commercial general liability insurance and maintains WorkSafeBC (WSBC) coverage for every crew member on every job site. Certificates of insurance are available on request for strata councils, general contractors, and property managers.

All railing, guard, and handrail installations are designed and built to the British Columbia Building Code (BCBC), including the 2024 update cycle. The team coordinates directly with municipal building inspectors when permits and inspections are required, and provides engineered drawings stamped by a partnered licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) where the jurisdiction demands it.
