Does powered privacy film need electrical approval?
Confirm accepted Canadian electrical approval for the film, controller and power supply, and the permit and qualified-installer requirements with the electrical authority. Technical Safety BC identifies C22.1-24 as the BC Electrical Code effective March 4, 2025. A CE mark alone is not Canadian approval, and privacy film does not by itself turn ordinary glazing into compliant safety glass. Official regulator links are provided below.
